Celebrating 25 Years of From the Top and the Young Musicians of the Pacific Northwest
Classical KING is proud to join From the Top in celebrating 25 years of showcasing the nation’s most talented young classical musicians. This nationally syndicated program has become a cornerstone for music education, inspiration, and community connection.
Earlier this year, From the Top partnered with Classical KING to record in our Seattle studios, featuring extraordinary students from the Pacific Northwest. Their performances and personal stories will be shared in a special broadcast on Friday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. on Classical KING 98.1, online at classicalking.org, or on the Classical KING app.
Meet the Performers

“I don’t know what it is with the competition, but there’s something about the thrill—it drives me to practice harder.” - Nathan Chan – Cello (guest return appearance with Seattle Symphony)

“The instrument, I feel like it definitely brings a lot of joy—it has that playful, energetic spirit.” - Brannon Warn-Johnston – Composer and Violin, Burien, Washington
“A lot of my music is inspired by life experiences … that’s where the creativity comes from.”
A Community Celebration
For 25 years, From the Top has amplified the voices of young musicians, giving them a national stage and inspiring audiences everywhere. This broadcast not only honors that legacy but also highlights how the Seattle Symphony, Classical KING, and community partners come together to support the next generation of artists.
