Classical KING celebrates music from around the world and close to home this week with Polish Heritage programming, Seattle Chamber Music Society festival broadcasts, and music inspired by FIFA World Cup 2026.


Music Feature: Polish Heritage

Classical music is a global art form shaped by cultures from around the world, and this week Classical KING celebrates the enduring contributions of composers, performers, and conductors of Polish heritage. Tune in throughout the week to hear music inspired by Poland’s rich musical traditions as Seattle prepares for Polish Festival Seattle at Seattle Center on Saturday, July 11.


Music Feature: Let’s Play SEA ’26

As fans from around the globe gather in the Pacific Northwest, Classical KING joins the celebration with a soundtrack inspired by the nations competing on the world stage. On match days in Seattle, hear works from the countries taking the field as we celebrate FIFA World Cup 2026 through music.

Seattle Center will serve as one of the city’s official fan celebration sites through Let’s Play SEA ’26, featuring public match viewings, cultural festivals, and community events that welcome visitors from around the world to the heart of Seattle.

Seattle Chamber Music Society: Summer Festival 2026

The world’s largest chamber music party returns as Classical KING broadcasts Seattle Chamber Music Society’s 2026 Summer Festival. Marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, this year’s festival highlights composers who have helped shape the American classical voice, with each program featuring a work meaningfully connected to the U.S. Tune in for world-class chamber music throughout the festival!

Seattle Chamber Music Society: Complete Bach Brandenburg Concertos

Take a mid-summer look back at Seattle Chamber Music Society’s Winter Festival with a special broadcast featuring Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos. Widely regarded as some of the greatest works of the Baroque era, these six concertos showcase Bach’s extraordinary creativity, brilliant instrumental writing, and enduring influence on classical music. If you missed this celebrated Winter Festival performance, tune in as Classical KING brings it back to the airwaves.

West Seattle Community Orchestras: Play-Along in the Park

Tuesday, July 7 | 6pm | Lincoln Park, Seattle

Bring your instrument and join West Seattle Community Orchestras for Play-Along in the Park, a relaxed outdoor music-making event for beginner to intermediate musicians. Led by a rotating group of WSCO conductors, the session brings together strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion for a casual ensemble experience featuring repertoire from classical to contemporary. As the first of four July play-alongs, this community event offers musicians of all ages and abilities a chance to perform, connect, and enjoy music in the park.

Concerts in the Barn: Carpe Diem String Quartet – An American Story

Experience chamber music in a relaxed, rural setting as Concerts in the Barn presents Carpe Diem String Quartet in An American Story. This free afternoon concert offers a musical and visual journey through American themes, performed by a world-class ensemble in one of the region’s most distinctive performance spaces. Bring a blanket, settle into the barn or lawn, and enjoy an intimate community concert rooted in conversation, connection, and accessible live music.

Wayward Music Series: The Red Pants Collective

Friday, July 10 | 8pm | The Chapel at the Good Shepherd Center, Seatte

Experience an evening of improvised movement and sound as The Red Pants Collective performs as part of the Wayward Music Series. Led by father-daughter duo James Falzone and Giordana Falzone, the project blends movement, clarinet, penny whistle, piano, shruti box, and experimental sound in a collaborative performance with guest movement and sound artists from Seattle and beyond. Presented in the Chapel at the Good Shepherd Center, the program highlights the Wayward Music Series’ commitment to adventurous, boundary-crossing performance.

Mediterranean Diet

This Saturday on The Score take a musical vacation to the bright blue skies and starry nights of the Mediterranean – and you won’t even have to pack your bags. Edmund Stone will be your guide to some of the sunniest locales with music from movies that will whisk you away including Under the Tuscan Sun, Cinema Paradiso, Eat, Pray, Love and more. 

250 Years of Americana – Laughs, American Style: Part Two

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with love and laughter with Edmund Stone in Part Two of The Score’s two-part musical party called Laughs, American Style.
