Osvaldo Golijov’s Ainadamar
This week’s Met Opera broadcast features Golijov’s Ainadamar, a poignant tribute to poet Federico García Lorca. Through the memories of his muse, Margarita Xirgu, the opera explores Lorca’s life, legacy, and tragic death during the Spanish Civil War. Featuring sopranos Angel Blue and Gabriella Reyes, and conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
