These talented pre-college string players will showcase their artistry and teamwork, offering a glimpse into the future of classical music.

Sunday, January 12, 2025, 3:00pm – St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Seattle 

Begin the year with a celebration of Baroque splendor! The Seattle Bach Festival’s inaugural concert features a full Baroque orchestra performing timeless works by J.S. Bach, including the Orchestral Suite No. 3, Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, and Cantata 29. The program also includes insights from special guest Dr. Michael Maul, Director of the Bach Archiv Leipzig. 

 

Ladies Musical Club: Music for Bassoon Quartet & Vocal Works by Mahler

UW Opera Workshop: Excerpts from Turn of the Screw & Hansel and Gretel

The University of Washington Opera Workshop, Symphony Orchestra, and School of Music present excerpts from Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw and Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. This performance showcases the incredible talent and artistry of UW students, bringing these operatic stories to life.

Opera: Verdi’s Rigoletto 

Step into the drama of Verdi’s Rigoletto, a tale of love, betrayal, and revenge set in a corrupt court. This production features Quinn Kelsey as Rigoletto, Nadine Sierra as Gilda, and Stephen Costello as the Duke of Mantua, conducted by Pier Giorgio Morandi.
