The seasons are changing, help us welcome in the Fall with music about the season! Enjoy the first day of autumn with music to celebrate the season on Classical KING! 

 

Celebrate Italy! 

Monday, September 22 through Friday, September 26 

Through food, media, and culture, the world today is connected on a global scale. You can say the same for classical music! This week we’re featuring music by composers, conductors, and performers from across Italy. And if you’re in the area, don’t miss The Italian Festival—part of Festál at Seattle Center—this weekend! Celebrate the First Notes of the Season! 

September marks the start of the classical music season — ensembles across the region are tuning up for opening performances! From the first tuning note to the last standing ovation, live music is everywhere in our community! Join Classical KING and Live Music Project to find concerts near you at livemusicproject.org.

On a cold autumn night, there’s nothing like curling up with a warm blanket and listening to the sounds of the season… This Saturday on Second Inversion, autumn is in the air! We’ll celebrate the changing of the seasons, with music inspired by crunching leaves, cool, crisp winds—and the colors and flavors of fall. 

 

The Score with Edmund Stone 

It’s a Small World 

Saturday, September 27 | 4pm 

Coming up on the next episode of The Score, Edmund Stone brings you It’s A Small World! It’s an episode of music and movies about miniaturized worlds and people. From the size-morphing Ant Man and The Wasp to Downsizing, Honey I Shrunk the Kids and more, it’s a show all about tiny people, from films with great big music. 

 

Instantly Iconic Themes 

Sunday, September 28 | 4pm 

Edmund Stone, creator, host and producer of The Score is playing his unique version of “name that tune” with “Instantly Iconic” – a show packed with some of the world’s most recognizable movie themes. From the grim pair of notes in Jaws to the soaring magic of Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter, and Ecstasy of Gold from The Good The Bad and The Ugly, it’s some of cinema’s greatest hits. This Sunday on The Score.

Everett Philharmonic Orchestra Season Opener: Barber, Bolcom, Brahms 

Sunday, September 28 | 3pm | Everett Civic Auditorium 

Join the Everett Philharmonic in the opening concert of the new season! The first of three candidates hoping to take over the mantle of music director will ascend the podium for one concert only.
