The American spirit of innovation! It gave us electricity, airplanes, TV, and even the internet. And the urge to experiment extends not only to our electronics, but to American art and music, too.

This Saturday on Second Inversion: American Mavericks.  From the radio experiments of John Cage to the handmade microtonal instruments of Harry Partch, we’ll hear from American composers who have challenged, questioned, and expanded our definitions of music. Plus, a lesson in deep listening from Pauline Oliveros.

To listen, tune in to Classical KING on Saturday, July 5 at 9pm PT.
