Classical KING’s Holiday Kick-Off! 

Voces8 at Meany Center 

Tuesday, December 2 | 6pm 

Host: Lisa Bergman and Sean MacLean 

Kick off the holiday season with Voces8 on Classical KING! Repertoire includes holiday and winter works by Bach, Rachmaninov, Praetorious, and more, performed in the University of Washington’s own Meany Center for the Performing Arts!

Seattle Symphony: Dvořák New World Symphony 

Friday, December 5 | 8pm 

Host: Dave Beck 

Hear Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World,” this Friday on Classical KING! The program also includes Raymond Yiu’s Violin Concerto, a meditation on exile inspired by composer Ma Sicong, and Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances. Learn more at classicalking.org/show/broadcast-concerts.

From the Top at Classical KING

In this episode of The Score Edmund Stone has a show that will spark you imagination and brighten your season, A Festival of Lights, music from movies about literally bringing light into our lives. From the lighting of the beacons in The Return of the King to the candles of Hannukah in American Tail, and the ugliest lamp ever in A Christmas Story, it’s a celebration of light.
