A Seattle Run All About Walking

Saturday, September 20 at 12pm 

It’s the official kickoff to Seattle’s Arts and Culture Week, and it’s all about reimagining downtown! Walk Don’t Run is a three-kilometer walk from Pioneer Square to Belltown on Saturday, September 20th at 12pm. Walking is the whole point, plus neighbors, artists, and performers filling the streets with creativity and connection! Learn more at walkdontrun-sea.org. 

 

Celebrate the First Notes of the Season! 

September marks the start of the classical music season — ensembles across the region are tuning up for opening performances! This Saturday on The Score it’s all about getting there in style with Fabulous Rides! Join Edmund Stone and let the music take you on the back of a Pegasus in A Wrinkle in Time, ride a broom with Harry Potter at Hogwarts, soar on a flying carpet with Aladdin and more. It’s a fabulous musical ride this Saturday on the Score. 

 

International Talk Like a Pirate Day 

Sunday, September 21 | 4pm 

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming and Edmund Stone is rolling out his “arr-senal” of swashbuckling music from films about pirates to celebrate. From Treasure Island to Pirates of the Caribbean, The Buccaneer and Hook, it’s a treasure chest of musical fun. This Sunday on The Score.

Seattle Flute Society: Flute Celebration Day

The Saint Cecilia Requiem: World Premiere Performance

Hear the world premiere of the Saint Cecilia Requiem, a new work for chamber ensemble by Pacific Northwest-based composer Patrick Stoyanovich!
